We had a really good holiday weekend. We had just got home from Seattle so we didn't do anything big. We stayed home, and we decided to make Annika a new sand pile. We went to Home Depot and picked up the boards and some great bags of sand. We came home and put Annika down for a nap and got to work. I took before and after pictures because I think that it is one of the first things that we have really done on our house. While we were in Seattle, Annika loved playing in Abe and Henry's sand pile, so we decided that she needed one of her own. She loves it.

After we finished the sand pile, we enjoyed running through the sprinklers. Annika loved having mom and dad play in the water with her. After slaving away all day long, we had our own little BBQ. We ate out on our patio, and enjoyed some great food. After dinner we went to the fireworks stand to get some fireworks. What is the 4th without fireworks? We did some fireworks. The only ones that Annika liked were sparklers, and the little pops. It was a long day, but we had a great day.
