I need to be better at blogging! We are still here, and I just thought I would catch up on what we have been doing. Jen graduated the beginning of may, we went up to her graduation, but I don't have any pictures of the event. I was taking them all with her camera. Then Heidi graduated. We went to her graduation. Since she was graduating in dental hygiene she bought some nasty looking teeth, and her and her friends took pictures wearing them. (pretty funny!) Well Heidi gave Annika a pair, and Brian got pictures of her playing with them.

Annika is getting so old! She is starting to do so many things. The other day I was out weeding the flower bed, and something happened that has never happened before. Annika went and played by herself! She can climb up the ladder and go down the slide all by herself. I taught her how to swing on her belly so she is set! Here are just a couple things she likes to do.
She likes to help me cook!

She likes to help me clean the sink! (Not really but it was pretty cute!

She likes to hold as many binkies as she can!

She likes to cross her legs when she sleeps

Just a picture in case everyone wanted to see how pink her room really is!

We went to a REal game on Saturday night. Annika wasn't feeling very well but she was a great sport and had lots of fun! AT one point she was even yelling like everyone else in the crowd! It was pretty funny!

We went Swimming today! Her cousins (Abe and Henry) gave her a pool for Christmas and we finally got to use it today and she loved it! So much fun!

Easter

I know that these Easter pictures are a little late but I wanted to make sure that I got some up.

On Saturday we took Annika to a neighborhood Egg hunt. At first she didn't understand what we were doing, but I think that by the end, she had it all figured out! If was a lot of fun to watch her run around. But once she had really figured out what were in the eggs all she did was sign for more candy all day long. She would see an egg, even if it was empty she started signing and wanted more candy. It was a lot of fun!

On Saturday night Annika woke up crying and she cried for about an hour and a half straight. I didn't know what was wrong. Then she started getting a fever. She had a cough for a couple of days but the fever was new. I gave her some Tylenol and she went back to sleep. Annika got some blocks from the easter bunny and it had a flower block in it, and we were teaching her how to smell it. What a funny kid.

Brian stayed home with her from church so I was kinda sad, she didn't even get to wear her easter dress to church. Well after church we went up to South Jordan for dinner with the family. Gavin was in Florida so he missed a wonderful meal, but we ate dinner, and Annika was actually acting like she wanted to do something other than lay around so we had an egg hunt for her. She had a lot of fun, but now she knew what was in the eggs and kept trying to open them before she was done picking them all up.

Sunday night, nobody in our house got any sleep. Annika was up pretty much all night. She would sleep a little bit then wake up crying. I took Annika to the doctor on monday morning and she has an ear infection. So we got some medicine, and kept giving her more Tylenol and we came home and took a nap. Poor Brian went to work and was not very productive, so he took a half day and we spent the afternoon laying on the couch and trying to recoup. (I guess we just really need our sleep!) That night after dinner Annika perked right up and started feeling and acting like her old self. It is so nice to see your kids start feeling better after they are sick!

Now fast forward a week.... Friday night we went up to Logan, the family was having a baby shower for my cousin Kelsey so me and Annika went to that and Brian went and hung out with the boys. Fixing lawn mowers i think. Saturday afternoon we went and visited Brian's grandparents. Then we came back to my parents and had another easter egg hunt! This time Annika definetly knew what she was doing and what was in the eggs. She didn't even pick up all of her eggs because she was so busy eating her candy.

We had a great Easter... and celebrating it for a whole week was a lot of fun! I think that we have too much candy at our house right now, so if anyone wants to come help us eat it. Come on Down!

REAL Salt Lake

On April 2nd we celebrated Brian's little brother Matt's birthday by taking him to the Real Salt Lake Season opener. They played Columbus Crew. We left Annika with Grandma and Grandpa LeBaron, and the LeBaron kids that live in Utah went to the game. It was a lot of fun! Real won 4-1. we got to check out the new Rio Tinto Stadium. We got rained on at the end of the game, but it was a lot of fun, being there and getting to see all of the action. We decided that Soccer is a great sport to go and watch because things happen so fast! It was a lot of fun. Happy Birthday Matt! Thanks for letting us celebrate with you! Here are some pictures from the game. (Not bad for Brian's cell phone!)

Easter Basket

My mom made me an Easter basket when I was little and I got my treats from the Easter bunny in it every year. It was my Easter basket and I thought it was really cool! Well I went up to visit my mom a couple weekends ago, and she asked if I wanted to bring my Easter basket home with me. Anyways... during the conversation, I decided that I was going to try and make Annika an Easter basket. While I have been making hers, she has been walking around the house putting things into my basket. It is really cute, and I think that she is going to enjoy Easter this year. Finding eggs full of candy in the grass... what could be better! She will love it. Well last night I finished her basket and she was walking around with it this morning. I am really excited for the Easter bunny to come visit her. I just thought I would show you what it ended up looking like.
HAPPY EASTER!

Little Aggie

Isn't she so cute wearing her dad's hat!

I don't know why I go so long between posts, but I guess I need to play catch up again.
Last week I was bored so I decided that I would take Annika to Cabelas. She loved it. We went and walked around and looked at all of the animals. We were the only ones in the fish tunnel and she ran from one window to the next signing fish, and laughing. What a great free activity.

Last week Robin and Britney brought their boys over, and we played outside in the warm sun. It is great that we have friends from logan down here close, so that we can still get together. Annika and Corban found the bike trailer, and decided to sit in it for a while. I think it is so cute.

On Friday we went up to Logan to stay with my family. Jordan's birthday was on Thursday so we went up to celebrate. We had so much fun. On Saturday morning we met our good friends Ashley and Derek at Willow Park. We played on the playground and looked at all of the animals.

What a fun week.

oh p.s. I finally put Annika's hair in a pony tail. It was a lot of fun.
and here is a cute picture of her with her pig tails. She was playing peek a boo hiding behind her blanket. While we were waiting in the car somewhere.

My little Girl

So lately Annika has been doing a lot of new things. I haven't blogged in a while so I figured I may as well. Her hair is getting longer, and I was using curlers for a while, which were great. I could get a good curl in her hair in the back. It flips out and looks so cute! Well then the other day I was doing my hair and I thought, I bet I could use my flat iron to flip out Annika's hair too! Well I sat her up on the counter, and I told her to hold still. ( I might have given her a couple of things to distract her.) But she held still and my chi flips her hair out. It is so cute!

She has been such a girly girl lately. She got a cabbage patch doll for christmas when she was about the same size as the doll. Now she carries it around all day long! She gives it hugs, and kisses, she will even say baby! The other day we went over to one of Jen's friends house, Annika went over to her toy bin, and pulled out the one doll!

We bought a Shop Vac and I put it together the other day. It has a couple of extra parts so I put them together. The next thing I know, Annika is pushing it around, helping me vacuum. What a good helper. I decided I have to keep it with her toys now, because it is one of her favorite toys!

Annika always wants to be sitting on the counter, so she can be up high, and see what is going on. I decided that this isn't a good idea and I am trying to break the habit. It is so easy to sit her on the counter. But the other day in nursery Annika did not sit on her chair once. She stands on it. I think it has something to do with sitting on the counter. Anyways. It is so tempting to just sit her on the counter and do what I need to do. Well the other day, I was trying to do the dishes, and all Annika wanted to do was be held. So I got a great idea.... I can pull a chair over, she can stand on it, and she can see what is going on. Well it worked, she helped me with the dishes, and I got them done. However, I started thinking about the original problem, standing on chairs in nursery, and wondered.. Am I really solving the problem, or just making it worse. Oh well... we will have to see if she sits down in nursery on Sunday.

Last but not least, She loves Chapstick. When ever she sees me putting it on she puckers up her lips and wants some too! I just think that it is really funny. If I let her hold it, she will walk around putting it on for quite a while. I guess lately she just seems like such a little girl!
