Rice Cereal

Well we did it! We fed Annika her first serving of rice cereal. It was a pretty exciting night. I had decided that I was going to feed her cereal the day that she turned 4 months old. Then we went to the doctor and he said "Now you know that the diapers get a lot worse once you start giving her real food." I don't know if it was really the thought of changing diapers that actually stunk, or what really made me change my mind, but I decided to wait on the whole cereal thing. Well the other night Annika woke up I think every half hour during the night. I don't know what was wrong with her, I thought maybe she was just hungry, so to try and fill her up, to see if she would sleep better, I decided last night to give the cereal thing a try. She did pretty good. She did however pull some funny faces. I think that most of it ended up on her bib. But Brian and I had a good time, laughing at some of the faces she made! Oh it's so much fun being parents.

Fun Weekend

This weekend, was a lot of fun! I love the nice weather that we have been getting on the weekends. On Friday night we had a BBQ with the Brooks'. It was so much fun, I just loved walking outside and smelling BBQ. We made Kabob's and they were so good. On Saturday we woke up and cleaned the house, which was so much fun! (Not really but it is nice to have the house really clean). Then Austin had a soccer game, so we went and watched his game. Just being outside in the warm sun was wonderful. Saturday night we went to our Stake Conference meeting, Stake Conference was great, they did a lot of talking about the family, a subject that I really like listening to. On Sunday at Stake Conference Sister McMullin gave her top 10 list for how husbands can show their wives they love them. As she was reading off her list, I just sat there and said Brian does that, Brian does that. Anyways the point was Brian is a wonderful husband and I don't tell him thank you enough for everything he does to help me.

4 Months Old!

Today Annika is 4 months old! I can't believe it. It feels like the past 4 months have just flown by. I still think she is so little, and then I see other new babies and realize how big she is getting. However, every new thing that she does is just so exciting. On Saturday we took her to the park, and it was so much fun. We have been going for walks outside and she loves being outside. She just looks around at the trees, and everything is so new to her. I am so excited for spring. Yesterday she found her feet, now when you lay her down on the floor she lifts up her feet and holds on to them with her hands. Today we were playing peek-a-boo and she thought it was so much fun, she just kept laughing. It is fun to have her interact with you. She knows when we are talking to her and smiles. I have had the past couple of days off for spring break and it just makes me wish I could be home with her all day everyday! She is so much fun, and I just can't believe she is 4 months old.

Annika Giggles

So my cute Baby girl is just getting bigger and bigger. It is so fun! On Thursday night we went over to Brian's grandparents house, Scott, Allison, Abe and Henry were there. Annika and I were sitting on the floor playing with Abe. I started tickling Abe, and he was laughing really hard, and All the sudden Annika started laughing at him! So the next day I was trying to make her laugh, this is what I got. It is so fun, every time I watch the video I can't help but laugh myself. It is so Cute!

Happy Easter

Easter this year was alot of fun! Annika got to go on two Easter egg hunts. On Saturday we spent the day with Brian's family, we colored our easter eggs. Then we packed up a picnic and went to the park and flew kites, it was alot of fun. The sun was out and I actually think that I might have got some sun on my face. It felt so good! On Sunday we went out to Hyde Park and spent the afternoon there. Jordan turned 16 on Wednesday so he got set apart as a teacher. After that we ate dinner and then we went on our regular easter egg hunt. On easter we all get our baskets and the color of egg that is in your basket is the color that you are supposed to find in the hunt. So we went out hunting for eggs, I thought I was doing so great, I had already found 6 of them, and then Alli started asking for people to let her know when they see any pink ones. Well I had thought that my egg color was pink and I had picked up all of her eggs. oops! My dad always hides the eggs and Brian and I couldn't find some of our eggs, my dad walked around the yard and was telling us he could see them, he would say "right out in plain sight" Well I guess plain sight to my dad is hidden under a leaf in the lawn. But we found all of our eggs Wahoo! It was a great weekend!

The Three Amigos

Brian's Brother Scott and His wife Allison have decided to accept a job in Seattle, although this is exciting for them, I am very sad to see them go. I love getting together with them, and I am also sad that Annika isn't going to have any cousins close to play with. Not that she can do a whole lot of playing right now, but Abe is so cute and brings toys to Annika for her to play with. Last time we were down at Grandma and Grandpa LeBaron's Abe set a whole bunch of toys on the couch with Annika and then said "He Loves it!" We went down the end of February to Celebrate Gavin's birthday, and for Christmas Karen and Gavin got a wagon so we put all the Grandkids in the wagon and went for a walk. I am so sad that all of these wonderful times won't happen as often. But we love Henry, Abe, Allison, and Scott. But don't you worry we will be coming to Seattle! Good Luck WE LOVE YOU!
