New Wheels!

Well so we finally bought a new car. Wahoo! It is not new, but it is new to us, so it is fun. My condition for buying a new car, was I wanted Air Conditioning for this summer. Both of our other cars have broken air conditioners. I have to tell you the other day we were driving and we turned on the air conditioner, and I actually got cold in a car, in the summer. That is a really nice change from sweating! But I did not want Annika to have to ride around in a hot car during the summer, so the new car is nice. We really like driving it. Just thought I would let you all see it! If any of you or anyone you know is looking for a nice, reliable, sweet spirited 1993 sable, let us know, we will get you a steal of a deal!

Look what dad taught me....

So Annika discovered her feet a couple of weeks ago, which is a lot of fun to watch. Since she has been playing with her feet Brian has been trying to get her to suck on her toes. He has been pushing her feet up to her mouth and she really will suck on them. She has never on her own just started sucking on her feet, until the other night, I was holding her and I looked down and this is what I saw.....
Not only was this just one toe in her mouth it was pretty much all of her toes in her mouth. Goodness, I can't imagine that it would taste very good, but at the same time, it was so funny to see her doing it. I could not help but laugh. Really deep down inside don't we all wish we were flexible enough to stick our toes in our mouths?

This weekend

Well I haven't blogged in forever, so I decided to put in a little update of our weekend. This weekend, we went down to south Jordan on Friday night, and stayed with Brian's family. It was a lot of fun. On Saturday morning, Brian's mom, Brian, Annika and I all went shopping, which was so much fun! We went to Hobby Lobby, (which is a wonderful store) and then we went to target. I swear every time I am anywhere close to a target I just want to go. Because I think that it is a great store, and I just can't figure out why Logan doesn't have one yet! Well At target, we bought Annika a booster seat for her to sit in while she is eating her Rice Cereal. She has become such a good eater, she get so excited when she see's the spoon. It is a lot of fun! After we left Brian's parents we went to hang out with one of Brian's high school friends. Brandon and Whitney and their son T.J. he is so cute, he is almost 2 and he is so crazy. He was running all over the place. Lots of fun, I am sure Annika will be there one day. On Sunday I got a new calling... Ward Enrichment Leader, I have been on the committee forever, I kept thinking that I am out of ideas but I guess that they think I have plenty more in me... I guess we will just see how that goes. we also had my whole family over for dinner. Alli graduated from CEU on Saturday, Way to go Alli, now she just needs to pass her state boards and she can cut hair professionally. Having my family over to our house for dinner is something that we have never ever done, and we have been married for 2 years so I figured it was about time. They invite us out there every Sunday so it was about time that we returned the favor. It was fun, we ate and then we played games. It was such a nice afternoon, we opened the windows and propped the door open and just enjoyed the nice day. I love that it is actually starting to feel like spring, and Annika loves being outside which is a lot of fun.

Rice Cereal

Well we did it! We fed Annika her first serving of rice cereal. It was a pretty exciting night. I had decided that I was going to feed her cereal the day that she turned 4 months old. Then we went to the doctor and he said "Now you know that the diapers get a lot worse once you start giving her real food." I don't know if it was really the thought of changing diapers that actually stunk, or what really made me change my mind, but I decided to wait on the whole cereal thing. Well the other night Annika woke up I think every half hour during the night. I don't know what was wrong with her, I thought maybe she was just hungry, so to try and fill her up, to see if she would sleep better, I decided last night to give the cereal thing a try. She did pretty good. She did however pull some funny faces. I think that most of it ended up on her bib. But Brian and I had a good time, laughing at some of the faces she made! Oh it's so much fun being parents.

Fun Weekend

This weekend, was a lot of fun! I love the nice weather that we have been getting on the weekends. On Friday night we had a BBQ with the Brooks'. It was so much fun, I just loved walking outside and smelling BBQ. We made Kabob's and they were so good. On Saturday we woke up and cleaned the house, which was so much fun! (Not really but it is nice to have the house really clean). Then Austin had a soccer game, so we went and watched his game. Just being outside in the warm sun was wonderful. Saturday night we went to our Stake Conference meeting, Stake Conference was great, they did a lot of talking about the family, a subject that I really like listening to. On Sunday at Stake Conference Sister McMullin gave her top 10 list for how husbands can show their wives they love them. As she was reading off her list, I just sat there and said Brian does that, Brian does that. Anyways the point was Brian is a wonderful husband and I don't tell him thank you enough for everything he does to help me.

4 Months Old!

Today Annika is 4 months old! I can't believe it. It feels like the past 4 months have just flown by. I still think she is so little, and then I see other new babies and realize how big she is getting. However, every new thing that she does is just so exciting. On Saturday we took her to the park, and it was so much fun. We have been going for walks outside and she loves being outside. She just looks around at the trees, and everything is so new to her. I am so excited for spring. Yesterday she found her feet, now when you lay her down on the floor she lifts up her feet and holds on to them with her hands. Today we were playing peek-a-boo and she thought it was so much fun, she just kept laughing. It is fun to have her interact with you. She knows when we are talking to her and smiles. I have had the past couple of days off for spring break and it just makes me wish I could be home with her all day everyday! She is so much fun, and I just can't believe she is 4 months old.
