Weekend Fun

Brian's little brother Eric left Wednesday for the MTC. He is going on his mission to Chili Santiago North. We are really excited for him. Because he spoke in Church on Sunday, Brian's older brother and his family came down from Seattle. It was really fun to see them. Annika loves playing with Abe and Henry. Abe always make Annika laugh. It was such a fun weekend, and we are glad we got to spend time with all of our wonderful family. Annika also got to play in the irrigation water. She loved it. I just thought I would post a couple of pictures, and say Good Luck to Eric!

9 Months

Annika is 9 months old. Where does time go? I can't believe that she is already 9 months old. That means that we have had her as long as I was pregnant. It is just crazy. But she is such a fun little girl. We went to the Dr. yesterday for her 9 month check up, and I just thought I would give a little update on her. She weighs 20 lbs. which is the 72% and she is 28" tall which is the 67%. The Dr. said she is just a healthy little girl. (That is definitely eating well!) She just got her first tooth on her bottom right. She is into everything and she is getting ready to walk. She is such a brave girl and reaches for different pieces of furniture to walk back and forth between them. She pulls herself up to anything that she can, and climbs over everything. She also loves reading her books. She is such a blessing to us.

Lagoon

Last weekend we went to Lagoon. My dad's work has a day for their employees to go so, we went down. It was a lot of fun. It was nice to have my family there, because they watched Annika and Brian and I just had fun and rode as many rides as we could. Brian is a little bit more adventurous when it comes to rides than I am. I went along on most of them, and we had a great time.

Annika got to do a fish pond with Grandpa Jarrett. She got a little whistle. Thank goodness she doesn't know how to use it yet. (from the look on her face, I don't think she knows how to use the fishing pole yet either!)
Jen, Alli, Austin, Brian, My aunt Jenise, my mom, and my cousin Kaylee rode the scrambler. Doesn't it look like they are having fun?

Annika also got to ride the Carousal. I think she liked it. The whole time it was going she didn't really do a whole lot, but she smiled when it was over.

We all went on the Animal Train. Annika loves animals so she liked looking at all of them. I think that we wore her out, but we had a bunch of fun.

Annika loves standing up by the dishwasher when I am loading and unloading it, but Sunday morning Brian was unloading it, and I guess she decided she wanted to crawl in it.

This is just a cute picture of Annika chillin, in her rocking chair, reading her books.

Archer Throw

On Tuesday night Brian's work had a Summer BBQ. It was fun to meet all of the people he works with, and talk to them. They had a couple of games that you could play. One of the games was the archer throw. The archer is one of the hand held devices that they make. All of their hand held devices are supposed to be really rugged. So you can drop them from high places, or drop them in water and they will still work. So they had an archer throw to see who could throw it the farthest. We were throwing them pretty far, and at the end they still worked. Well I won the woman's division. So I thought I would show you all the cool trophy that I won! Wahoo. I think that Brian is the most excited because this beautiful trophy gets to sit on his desk for the next year! (Sorry!) But the BBQ was a lot of fun!

Also, way off the subject of the Archer throw but we got Annika's pictures taken earlier this month and I just thought I would post them for you to see, because I think they are so cute!

Seattle

We made it! On Wednesday night we left to drive to Seattle. Heidi and Eric drove up with us to visit Scott, Allison, Abe and Henry. I was so nervous that we were going to get half way there, and Annika would loose it. I was prepared to buy a plane ticket back to Utah if we needed to. Well thank goodness it was nothing like that. We drove through the night Wednesday night and got to Seattle Thursday morning at about 6:00. It was such a fun trip. We got there, and got to see Scott, Allison, Abe, and Henry.

We all hung out, and I am pretty sure that we all took a nap. That afternoon, we drove to Mt. Rainier, and had a picnic, and walked around. It was so pretty. On Friday we decided to go to Seattle. We went to the Seattle Aquarium, which was so much fun, I would recommend it to anyone! You walk into the aquarium and there is a huge tank, and there was a scuba diver in it. They had touching ponds were you could feel all of these different animals.
Then we walked over to a different tank and they had a huge octopus. We got to see it move around it was so cool to see it moving. They had a huge tank that was full of big fish and they were swimming around over your head, and all around you. We got to watch them feel the seals. There were just a lot of really neat things to see.

After the aquarium, we went to pikes market. It was an interesting place. There were so many people there, but it was fun to watch what everyone was doing. There was a sea food store, and they were throwing fish around. So interesting to watch. Then we went to the locks. We got to watch boats go through, it was very cool to watch the boats go through.
Then we walked over the bridge and they had a salmon ladder, and you could see the salmon jumping up the river. That was so cool to watch I loved watching the salmon jump out of the water. They were so big, it really just made me want to eat some fish. It was really neat to watch them, jumping around. On Saturday we went to the museum of glass, we got to watch them blow glass. I was so entertained watching them do this. It was so cool. Some of the things I could now believe they could do that. It really made me want to spend a lot of money and get a nice piece of art. It was very cool to see all of the things they can do with glass.

Anyway you get the idea that we stayed busy, it was so fun. It was fun to watch Annika with Abe and Henry. I am pretty sure she probably drove Henry nuts because wherever Henry went Annika was crawling after him. She loved having other kids there to play with.

It was just so fun to hang out with everyone! I hope that we can go back and visit again soon! We left Sunday afternoon and drove home. It was so much fun!Thank you Scott and Allison for letting us come stay!

County Fair

Well Last week was the county fair, my little brothers, Jordan and Austin both raised lambs this summer, so me and Annika went down to the fair last week to watch them show. They did a great job! They are great! Annika didn't like walking through the building that holds all of the sheep and the pigs. I thought it would be great, but instead she just cried. I think it was so loud it scared her, but I don't know. On Thursday night we went to the Rodeo with my family, and I had a cute little pair of Wranglers for her to wear. They were a little bit long, but they were really cute. I don't know how many more times she will wear them, because like true wranglers, she couldn't move very well. At home, she was having problems crawling and sitting up in them... But they looked cute! On Saturday my old room mates from CEU and I went out to eat. JoLynne just had a baby, and was here to visit her family from Canada, so we took advantage and went out to eat! It was alot of fun. It is funny how so much time can go past, then you get together and you can still get together, and sit and talk and have so much fun together. I had a great time. Saturday afternoon, Annika decided that she wanted to play XBOX with Brian. it was really cute to see her sitting there with him. Then Annika got a super cute dress from her aunt Allison (I guess she has two aunt Allison's... so Allison LeBaron) she wore it to church on Sunday and she looked so grown up. So I had to come home and take some pictures of her. On Sunday afternoon we went to my parents house to eat dinner, and my sister Allison, had saved one of her old tutu's and we put it on Annika. It was so cute. Annika always stands on her toes anyways, so it made her look like a little ballerina. It's a lot of fun to dress Annika up! Well that was a little picture recap of the last couple of days!
